regulated water only company.
South Staffs Water supplies a population of nearly 1.3 million. The area of supply stretches from the edge of Ashbourne in the
North, to Halesowen in the South, and from Burton-on-Trent in the East, to Kinver in the West.
The Role:
As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you’ll provide hands-on IT support to around 3,000 employees across the UK. This is a varied,
people-facing role where you’ll troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and build strong relationships across the business.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and enjoys problem-solving, with a willingness to get stuck in and resolve
issues both remotely and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 2nd line support for escalated Service Desk tickets
* Use ITSM tools to prioritise and manage incidents effectively
* Support users with hardware, software, and mobile devices
* Maintain security systems, including antivirus and monitoring tools
* Administer Active Directory and Group Policies
* Build and support Windows 11, iOS/Android devices, Intune, and Autopilot
* Carry out basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN)
* Support patching and maintenance of network equipment
* Assist with small project work alongside delivery teams
* Travel to sites as required to provide hands-on support
What You’ll Need:
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience in an IT support role and/or relevant qualification or degree
* Strong customer service skills with a user-focused approach
* Good troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
