Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our reputable client in the Exeter area. This HGV Technician role offers a fantastic opportunity for skilled professionals seeking career progression within a well-established commercial workshop. Duties of the HGV Technician:

- Conduct diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on HGV and light commercial vehicles

- Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and prechecks

- Assist with breakdown cover and mobile service requirements as needed

- Maintain high standards of work quality, safety, and compliance

- Complete detailed service and repair records accurately

- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient job completion and customer satisfaction

Requirements for the position:

- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent

- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or Mobile HGV Technician, with at least 2 years in a commercial vehicle workshop

- Strong diagnostic skills and comprehensive knowledge of HGV systems

- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and prechecks accurately

- Flexibility to undertake mobile breakdown jobs and workshop duties

- Valid UK driving licence; Class 1 or 2 licence is a bonus but not essential

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
