Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established commercial main dealership in Exeter, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a leading organisation that values technical excellence and employee development.

- Negotiable salary based on experience and skillset, up to £50,000

- Shift flexibility with late shifts or split shifts available

- Competitive shift allowance of £25.00 per day

- Overtime paid at 1.5x weekdays and double time from 10.00 am on Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays

- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties of the HGV Technician:

- Complete all service work and scheduled maintenance within manufacturer timeframes

- Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions on HGVs

- Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations

- Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures

- Document diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and services accurately

- Support the workshop team in maintaining efficiency and workflow

- Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop environment

Requirements of the HGV Technician:

- Fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

- Practical experience post-qualification highly desirable

- Ability to carry out diagnostics and repairs efficiently

- Strong team player with a professional attitude

- Good organisational skills to meet deadlines and targets

- Live within or commute reasonably to Exeter, Devon

- An active HGV driving licence is advantageous but not essential

- Motivated individual with a commitment to high-quality work and safety standards
