Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established independent service centre in Plymouth, Devon, for the position of MOT Technician. This opportunity offers a career with a reputable company committed to high standards of service and professional development.

Benefits:

- Basic salary up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience

- Uncapped monthly bonus scheme

- Flexible bonus structure

- Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

- Rotational Saturday mornings, 8am – 1pm (1 in 2 weekends)

Duties of the MOT Technician:

- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards

- Perform general servicing, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models

- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues

- Complete and maintain accurate work documentation

- Ensure health and safety compliance at all times

- Deliver high-quality customer service with attention to detail as a MOT Technician

Requirements of the MOT Technician:

- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Level 2 individuals may be considered)

- Valid MOT Licence (preferred but not essential)

- Proven experience within a fast-fit or similar automotive environment

- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

- Ability to work efficiently to meet targets
