An opportunity has arisen for a number of Support Secretaries to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department within our elective service.

The successful applicants will have experience in hospital appointment booking, along with excellent typing and organisational skills. You will be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.

Successful candidates will provide high-quality administrative support to orthopaedic medical staff at the elective site, contributing to the delivery of an efficient and patient-focused service within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Base Location:Bournemouth (with planned relocation to Poole in early 2027)

Interview: July 20th

 

• To support the secretarial team by undertaking typing of ward rounds and clinic letters.

• To carry out general clerical duties, including non-clinical administrative tasks as required by the team.

UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.

This service has a planned move from Bournemouth site to Poole site in early 2027.

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
