Summary
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable person to support our bright and bubbly young daughter. She loves people, enjoys being involved in activities, and has a fantastic sense of fun. She is a very sociable little girl who loves interacting with those around her and thrives when she is busy and engaged.
Our daughter uses a wheelchair for mobility. While she can propel herself independently, she may need support when travelling longer distances or when she becomes tired. She also moves around by bum shuffling and is incredibly speedy when doing so.
She communicates through vocalisations, some words, gestures, simple Makaton, and symbols. She enjoys connecting with others and is always keen to take part in activities and social interactions.
Personal care is part of the role, as she wears pads and requires support with changing, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable providing this assistance in a respectful and dignified manner.
Our daughter has dysphagia, meaning many of her foods need to be adapted. Despite this, she certainly enjoys her favourite treats, including cake, Pom-Bears, and ice cream.
Some of her favourite things include books, toys, spending time with others, and participating in activities. She is a lively young girl who loves to stay busy and make the most of every day.
We are looking for someone who is patient, energetic, dependable, and passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. The ideal person will be able to build a positive relationship with our daughter, encourage her independence, and help her enjoy a variety of fun and meaningful experiences.
