The A/C Maintenance Engineer at Mitie is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards.
Role Responsibilities:
-Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites
-Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards
-Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
-Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery
-Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance
-Work in line with health and safety procedures
-Liaise effectively with clients, customers, and contractors
-Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team as needed
Required Qualifications:
-Strong technical background including a Level 3 Diploma and relevant NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems
-F-gas Category 1 certification
-Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience
-Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
-Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
-Clear communication skills
-Ability to assess and report on equipment condition
-Proactive approach to both independent and team-based work
