With over 40 years of presence in the local area, this company is well known for supplying high-quality chilled and frozen goods to major food distribution centres nationwide.This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking flexible working patterns, including weekend-only, part-time, or full-time roles.The RoleAs a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of chilled and frozen goods to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) across the UK. This role involves early starts and structured shift patterns across a 7-day operation.Key Responsibilities:Safely operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles.Delivering chilled and frozen goods to RDCs nationwide.Completing early morning shifts (including 00:00–07:00 start range).Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.Completing delivery paperwork accurately.Providing a professional and reliable service at all times.Adhering to all drivers’ hours, tachograph regulations, and road safety laws.RequirementsValid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.Valid Driver CPC qualification.Digital Tachograph Card.No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).Safety boots and high-visibility vest required.Flexibility to work a range of shift patterns across 7 days.Ability to work early starts between 04:00 and 07:00.Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations.Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.What We OfferCompetitive rates of pay.Flexible working options (full-time, part-time, weekend only).Regular ongoing work.Average 50–60 hour working week (5-day pattern).Support from an experienced Workchain Recruitment team.Weekly pay.Opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable client.If you're an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for flexible work in Derby City Centre, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today through the Workchain website or follow the application link provided.Workchain Derby believes in strong partnerships and better connections.
