This is a temporary, day-shift opportunity suited to a reliable and safety-conscious driver with experience operating curtainsider vehicles.Key responsibilities• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly• Operate curtainsider trailers and complete deliveries or collections as required• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey• Secure loads correctly and ensure all relevant documentation is completed• Follow planned routes, site procedures and road safety requirements• Maintain accurate records of working time, journeys and vehicle condition• Communicate professionally with colleagues and site contacts• Report any defects, delays or issues promptlySkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence• Current Driver CPC qualification• Digital tachograph card• Previous experience driving curtainsider vehicles• Good understanding of vehicle safety and load security• Reliable, punctual and professional approach• Ability to work independently and follow instructions• Good communication skillsAbout the companyThis organisation is a local authority serving communities across Leicestershire.
