This is a hands-on role involving the preparation, crating and packaging of equipment for shipment. The role combines practical warehouse and crating work with digital inventory tracking, label printing and basic computer administration. Full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Crating and Packaging Cut timber and sheet materials using hand and power tools safely and in accordance with company procedures. Build bespoke wooden crates, boxes and pallets to specified dimensions. Pack, secure and protect fragile or heavy equipment using appropriate materials and methods. Carry out quality checks on completed packaging to ensure items are securely prepared for shipment. Operate a forklift truck to move materials and load/unload vehicles, following appropriate training and authorisation. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. Follow all company health and safety procedures and safe systems of work. Computer and Administrative Duties Enter stock information, job progress and shipping details into company systems. Use computer systems to produce packing lists, barcodes and shipping labels. Review digital drawings, cut sheets and technical job specifications. Update inventory records and work orders accurately. Respond to routine internal emails and communicate with colleagues regarding warehouse and shipping activities. Skills and Qualifications Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Windows, spreadsheets and data entry. Willingness to learn how to safely use woodworking and power tools.
