Summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join the furniture department of a leading national retailer's distribution centre in Armthorpe, Doncaster (DN3).

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity offering regular shifts, enhanced overtime rates, full training and long-term prospects within a modern warehouse environment.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for handling furniture products and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy distribution centre. Duties include:

- Moving sofas from pallets to designated workstations

- Applying protective caps to sofa corners and edges

- Bagging and sealing furniture ready for dispatch

- Palletising completed products

- Loading and unloading household goods from trailers

- Handling bulky items safely and efficiently

- Supporting general distribution and logistics activities

- Maintaining quality and health & safety standards

This Warehouse Operative position involves manual handling and regular heavy lifting, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy physical work and being part of a team-focused environment.

Hours & Shifts

- 6:00am - 6:00pm

- Choose from Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday Week 2: Sunday to Tuesday

- OR Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday Week 2: Thursday to Saturday

- Rotating weekly pattern

- Overtime available

Pay

- £12.99 per hour

- Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (£19.49 per hour)

- Weekly pay

We would like to hear from candidates who have:

- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Loader, Order Picker, Packer or Logistics Operative, although this is not essential

- The ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic

- A good level of fitness due to the physical nature of the role

- Safety footwear for site

Full training and induction will be provided, so applicants without previous warehouse experience are encouraged to apply.
