Key Responsibilities - Coordinate the daily movement of vehicles, plant, equipment and personnel. - Schedule transport to meet operational requirements. - Liaise with drivers, suppliers, hire companies and site teams. - Maintain transport schedules, fleet records and compliance documentation. - Monitor MOTs, servicing, inspections and vehicle performance. - Assist with route planning and resolve transport issues. - Deliver and collect vehicle parts, equipment and company vehicles. - Carry out minor vehicle repairs and maintenance, including changing tyres, replacing wing mirrors, bulbs, wiper blades and completing basic vehicle safety checks. - Report vehicle defects and arrange repairs where required. - Provide general logistical support to operational teams. Requirements - Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet coordination or a similar role. - Practical mechanical skills with the ability to carry out minor vehicle repairs. - Strong organisational and communication skills. - Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. - Experience within construction, utilities or infrastructure is advantageous. - Full UK Driving Licence (essential). As a Mobile Plant technician, you will be maintaining and supporting our fleet of plant equipment. Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance as required. What your day will look like: - Carry out scheduled Service Inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications. - Conduct regular servicing on machinery, plant and equipment as assigned to you. - Diagnose and repair of complex faults in machinery, plant and equipment. - Conduct repairs to machinery, plant and equipment, and their components. - Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop and environment - Record information digitally, including photographs on Syrinx App - Carry out all tasks in compliance with the Company’s Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures. - Happy to work under your own initiative and has part of a team What we need from you: - Knowledge that would be acquired through education to NVQ3 equivalent. - CSCS - Preferably experience in similar role - Full UK driving licence (Essential) - Commitment to carry out in house Murphy training requirements
