The post holders will be part of a team of seven middle grade doctors providing Urology services to the department and Trust. The Anaesthetic department at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust covers a wide variety of elective, day case, and emergency surgery on two main sites. Led by a team of 12 substantive consultants, the fellowship provides comprehensive exposure to complex hip and knee arthroplasty, with unique flexibility for candidates to tailor their experience towards either arthroplasty, hip surgery or knee surgery. The Fellow’s post will provide exposure to all aspects of the management of patients with primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and complex limb reconstruction. There will be ample opportunity to assist and gain experience with the full range of extremity and pelvic surgical cases. Attendance at arthroplasty MDT meetings is expected. The Fellow will be allocated to one of the sub teams within the unit and have the opportunity to rotate at 6 months. The Fellow will attend fixed outpatient clinics and operating lists.
