Summary

• An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivatedSenior Clinical Research Nurse (Band 7)to join our dynamic and collaborative team at St George’s Hospital.

• This pivotal role is key to coordinating and managing a multidisciplinary Paediatric Research Team, working closely with the Clinical Research Matron and the wider research network to oversee a diverse portfolio of clinical trials.

• As a senior member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality research, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and meeting both local and national research targets.

• You will also haveline management responsibilities for the Clinical Research Delivery Team, supporting their development and ensuring effective day-to-day operations.

• Lead and coordinatepaediatric clinical researchactivities within theVaccine Institute (VI), Centre for Neonatal and Paediatric Infection (CNPI),andthewider Trust.

• Provide line management and professional support to the Clinical Research Delivery Team, including Research Nurses and Clinical Trial Coordinators.

• Ensure all research is conducted in strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, with patient safety and well-being as the top priority.

• Act as a clinical leader and expert practitioner, providing mentorship and support to the multidisciplinary team.

• Operate with a high level of autonomy, making delegated clinical decisions and working closely with investigators and healthcare professionals.

• Facilitate informed patient participation, ensuring research participants receive clear, comprehensive information while advocating for their needs.

• Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators, clinicians, and research teams to maintain high standards of data integrity and patient care.

• Contribute to ongoing COVID-19 research within the Vaccine Institute.

• Support the development of new research opportunities and expansion into other paediatric specialties.

• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with the willingness to support research across different clinical specialties as required.
