We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to work within the Forensic Directorate. The post holder will be joining for our new physical health team as a Physical health Nurse Band 7. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with staff and service users to improve the physical health outcomes for our service users within the forensic service. We are looking for someone who is keen to improve physical health in mental health nursing skills, who will be working alongside a group of physical health professionals including dietitian, sports therapist, physical health nurses, physical health engagement practitioner and inpatient multidisciplinary teams. They will be responsible for embedding the physical health care systems inpatient wards, facilitating physical health clinics, working close with primary care services and supporting education and training needs for inpatient staff. The post holder will need to be able to work closely with the inpatient services and manage a caseload of service users & support primary nurses with physical health care planning. The post holder will join a multidisciplinary NHS mental health service dedicated to providing secure services. There are opportunities to participate in physical health audits and the educational program within the directorate. You will also be required to attend regular clinical supervision with a senior clinician. The Physical Health nurse will carry out regular reviews on the in patients, supervised by a consultant psychiatrist, and liaise with the multidisciplinary team in the forensic services to deliver effective healthcare for patients. To also attend and contribute to weekly ward rounds, team formulation meetings and physical leads meetings. The post holder will undertake a key role in the organisation and delivery of physical health care in forensic services an area which is increasingly recognised as essential in delivery of safe and effective mental health services. The post will involve liaising with the GP, Opticians, Dentists and all other local clinics for the service and delivery of effective healthcare for the management of acute and chronic physical conditions. The Post holder will compliment roles already developed within the service and strengthen the multi professional team. The post holder will also work with occupational therapists, Tissue viability nurses, dietetics and nursing colleagues and liaise as needed with local Acute Hospitals. The Haringey CWP team are recruiting 3 trainee CWPs to continue to improve children and young people's mental health services in Haringey. The training forms part of the service transformation initiative delivered by NHS England as part of the Children and Young People's Mental Health CYP Psychological Trainings (PT) (formerly CYP IAPT) programmes. Haringey CWP Team, work with children and families aged 4-17. We provide individual CBT and some group interventions/workshops, as well as parent training interventions to parents and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, or challenging behaviour. Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Haematologist to undertake 10PAs at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The Department is a specialist centre for haemoglobin and red cell disorders, operating as the centre for a large Red Cell Network. We also treat a wide range of malignant and benign conditions, including level 2B malignant haematology patients (salvage chemotherapy for lymphoma), with the exception of haemophilia, intensive treatment of acute leukaemia and bone marrow transplantation. We offer a comprehensive nurse-led anticoagulation service and we have an established hospital transfusion service. Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register (or be within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training or equivalent. The successful applicant will join a dynamic and friendly team to provide a full range of Clinical Haematology services at NMUH. The post-holder will have a comprehensive training in haematology and will be capable of handling the range of clinical and laboratory haematology problems that occur in the setting on a district general hospital. The post-holder will be encouraged and supported to develop an interest in myeloid disorders and will also lead on immune haematological disorders such as ITP and autoimmune haemolytic anaemia. The appointee will be expected to work with other specialities to develop service pathways and guidance related to cancer-associated thrombosis. and to develop the department’s research portfolio in non-malignant haematology. The post-holder will review General Haematology referrals, including two-week wait target referrals. They will be encouraged and supported to develop a specific interest in thrombosis, leading on obstetric haematology matters. They will also be the named lead for patients with immune-related haematological disorders. The post-holder will also have an opportunity to play an active role in the North London non-malignant research network, and to develop the research portfolio and drive recruitment into clinical studies involving non-malignant disorders at NMUH.
