The successful applicant will join a team of 30 registrars (deanery trainees, bone marrow transplant/CAR-T coordinators and senior clinical fellows), who are supervised by >30 haematology consultants covering the entire range of malignant, non-malignant and experimental haematology. The post holder will participate in the wider haematology on call rota, including laboratory and liaison haematology. The aim of the fellowship is to provide training and research opportunities in elective foot and ankle Surgery for a six/twelve-month period. There will be no on-call duties. There are 4 full time Orthopaedic Consultants. In addition, the unit has 3 Clinical Nurse Specialists, 2 physiotherapists, 2 orthotists and a research officer who help in the care on both inpatients and outpatients and who provide a one-stop shop for treatment in clinic. Four trainees are attached to our unit: 2 fellows (these posts), 2 trainee registrars (ST3-ST8), and an international fellow may also be present. Weekly time table consists of outpatient clinics, operating list, research, MDT meetings, and ward rounds. Excellent facilities for clinical research are available in collaboration with Institute of Orthopaedics and the biomechanical engineering department. Time will be allowed for individual research. Experience in foot and ankle surgery at SpR level and completion of CCT, already developed an interest in foot and ankle surgery, experience of research in foot and ankle surgery, experience of MDT working. Evidence of good written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of the major risk factors for foot and ankle surgery at a population level and at the level of the individual, ability and enthusiasm to teach medical undergraduates and Allied Health Professionals. Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical scientist to join our team of nuclear medicine physicists within the Radiological Sciences Unit (RSU). The successful applicant will be a HCPC registered clinical scientist who is certified to act as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in nuclear medicine and is passionate about leading improvement and delivering the best patient care. Within the trust, the physics group supports a range of equipment across nuclear medicine and PET/CT including SPECT/CT systems, PET/CT systems, gamma counting equipment, dose calibrators and interoperative probes. There is a comprehensive molecular radiotherapy service including I-131 for benign thyroid conditions, Y-90 Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) and Lu-177 Dotatate for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumours. We are also involved in the delivery of several novel therapeutic tracers for research purposes. Through our external contracts, we support 5 gamma cameras and two PET/CT scanners. We are active in clinical and academic research, participating in several commercial and Imperial led clinical trials. There is significant involvement in the training of clinical and healthcare scientists and MSc teaching in conjunction with Imperial College London. • To plan, organise and implement integrated computer information systems for handling, analysing and interpreting Nuclear Medicine data and provide specialist expertise in the analysis of such data. • To ensure the successful training of trainee Clinical Scientists • Provide highly complex and specialised scientific support as the Medical Physics Expert as defined in the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017 (IRMER17) with regard to development of new techniques, problem solving and data analysis to nuclear medicine clinicians, technologists and senior managers • Develop and deliver day-to-day management of the Quality Assurance programme for nuclear medicine equipment within the Trust. • Planning and providing routine quality assurance, performance assessment, auditing assessments in support of Nuclear Medicine equipment.
