Knowledge of construction requirements in a local authority housing setting. Understanding of housing development funding and regulatory requirements. Site acquisition and scheme viability or site appraisal experience. Project monitoring, reporting, handover and Defects Liability Period management experience. Strong contractor and Employer's Agent liaison, communication and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities Devise, steer and deliver existing and new housing projects and programmes. Manage assigned projects for value for money and effective use of Council assets. Procure consultants, contractors or developers, and support design, planning and commercial negotiations. Support resident engagement, tenancy liaison, handovers and Defects Liability Period management. Build partnerships with Council services, residents, landowners, businesses, developers and community groups.
