The Environmental Health Officers in the team work to support the Team Leader (Private Sector Housing) in enforcing a wide range of legislative requirements in the area of private sector housing. This includes the investigation of complaints of poor housing conditions and undertaking inspections of private sector housing to assess potential hazards and carrying out any follow up or enforcement to bring the property to current standards. In addition, the team license Houses in Multiple Occupation and undertake work to bring empty properties in the borough back into use. This role offers the flexibility of hot desking / home working together with field based work. About You You will have: A degree or diploma in Environmental Health. Hold the Housing Health and Safety Rating System qualification Recent experience and specialist knowledge relating to private sector housing enforcement.
