Self-employed dog walker, London: build your own round at your own prices
WoofWalk - WC2N 5DU
from £15 an hour
Field-basedContractPart time
WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners. We are looking for up to ten more self-employed walkers across London, and we would rather have people spread across the boroughs than everyone in Zone 1. This is not a job with a wage, and there is no guaranteed income. You run your own small walking business through the app: you choose your prices, your days and your patch, owners book and pay you through the app, and the money is paid out to your bank. You decide every booking you take. London is already our busiest city. Since 3 October, 153 people have applied through our Indeed advert, 54 of them have made an account, and around 45 have set up a walking business in London postcodes from Bexley to Northolt. Most are still waiting for their first booking, so walkers who answer owners quickly will stand out. What local walkers list publicly: an hour's solo walk in London typically goes for £15 to £20, and group walks for around £20. Those are other people's prices, not ours. You set yours. Terms, plainly: nothing to pay to join. Your first two weeks carry no commission at all, then WoofWalk takes 15% of each booking, dropping to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. You handle your own tax and National Insurance and arrange your own insurance. You need to be over 18, comfortable walking in all weathers, and happy to meet an owner and their dog before the first walk. Apply through Find a Job and tell us which part of London you can cover. We will send you the set-up guide.
