    We are delighted to invite applications for a Consultant colleague to join our joint teams. The role is a new 1.0 WTE substantive full-time Consultant post working across renal and maternal medicine teams. In renal, the post will delivergeneral nephrology outpatient clinics and dialysis outpatient care, predominantly on the Fylde Coast, with future flexibility to incorporate ward cover and specialist clinics at Royal Preston Hospital (RPH) by agreement. Maternal Medicine will constitute approximately 50% of the direct clinical care component of this post. The successful candidate will hold, or be willing to complete, training in Obstetric Medicine via the Royal College of Physicians Obstetric Medicine Credential and will contribute to the continued development of Maternal Medicine services. They will work closely with obstetric, anaesthetic, midwifery and physician colleagues to ensure delivery of high-quality medical care for pregnant and post-partum women. The duties will consist of: Obstetric / Maternal Medicine Providing consultant-level care for women with pre-existing or pregnancy-related medical conditions. Undertake antenatal, postnatal and pre-pregnancy clinics, in-reach ward reviews and participation in Maternal Medicine MDTs. Work collaboratively across disciplines and contribute to service development. Renal Medicine Provide general nephrology and dialysis outpatient care. Support inpatient renal activity as agreed. Participate in consultant cross-cover, governance, audit and education.
