Electrical Supervisor | Strood, Kent | Full Time | £60,000–£65,000 per annum + overtime With over 45 years’ experience, Lyons Electrical is an established commercial and industrial electrical contractor based in Strood, Kent. The Role We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Electrical Supervisor with a proven track record of successfully running large commercial and industrial electrical projects. This is a key site-based role for someone who can take ownership of a project, lead a team effectively and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards of workmanship. As an Electrical Supervisor with Lyons Electrical, you’ll play a key role in overseeing projects on site and representing the company professionally when working with clients, contractors and other site teams. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of electrical projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover. Working closely with project managers, clients and other contractors, you’ll be expected to: • Plan, organise and supervise electrical installation works • Lead and coordinate electricians, apprentices and subcontractors where required • Manage labour, materials, equipment and site resources effectively • Monitor progress against the project programme and ensure key dates are achieved • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and schedules • Identify potential issues early and work proactively to resolve them • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with BS 7671, project specifications and company standards • Maintain a strong focus on quality control, testing, snagging and final handover • Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times • Work with RAMS, permits, safe systems of work and site documentation • Liaise professionally with clients, project managers, other trades and site management • Carry out site inspections and ensure work is completed correctly and to the required standard • Lead by example and support the development of electricians and apprentices within the team This role would suit someone who takes real pride in their work, maintains high standards and has the confidence and experience to take responsibility for a project and the team delivering it. Delivering understanding and consequences of an employment compact, Industry related regulations para 49 Responsible for the prisoner compact, to ensure each prisoner understands and signs the compact and updates compact as necessary. • Deliver training to prisoners to enable them to gain nationally recognised qualifications within the workshop with the assistance of assessors and local colleges, NVQs or equivalent. Provide quality assurance against product specification. • Assess and evaluate skills of prisoners up to national qualifications standards and complete all relevant documentation pertaining to the gaining of qualifications, including signing and completing witness testimonies and specialist testimonies.
