The post-holder will play a key role in realising our ambition to continue to build a high quality clinical Dermatology and Allergy service. The successful applicant will be a committed clinician with specialist training in Dermatology and a commitment to excellent clinical service delivery, service improvement, teaching, training and other qualities as identified in the person specification. Personal CPD must be included as part of annual appraisal which is mandatory and required for the revalidation process. The post holder will, together with his or her consultant colleagues and other health care professionals in the Directorate, provide an effective and comprehensive service for patients and support continuing service developments. We are looking for a motivated candidate interested in anaesthesia for major general surgery and peri-operative medicine. This is a general locum anaesthetic consultant post and the successful applicant will cover major general surgery lists which include hepatobiliary, upper GI, renal, urology, endocrine and major gynae-oncology surgery. The Hammersmith Hospital provides complex cancer surgical services in the areas of gynaecology, endocrine, hepatobiliary, upper GI and thoracic specialties and is a regional and national referral centre for these specialities. The Hammersmith Hospital is also a busy kidney and pancreas-kidney transplant centre. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver peri-operative care to patients undergoing these complex and challenging procedures, including providing anaesthesia for these specialties in our new robotic theatre suite. The Hammersmith Hospital is also a cardiac centre but the successful applicant will not be expected to deliver anaesthesia for open cardiac surgery. However, there is an expanding workload of electro-physiology and structural heart procedures including TAVIs and PFOs, and there will be opportunities to deliver sessions in these areas by mutual agreement. This post is intended to support the group of anaesthetic consultants providing anaesthesia and peri-operative care to patients undergoing major cancer surgery in hepatobiliary, upper GI, thoracic, gynaecology and endocrine surgery. The job plan will be flexible and formulated in partnership with the successful candidate. This arrangement allows us to respond to service requirements efficiently, as well as facilitating CPD, educational and annual leave requirements. In addition to cancer cases, the Hammersmith Hospital is home to the West London Renal and Transplant Centre, and performs around 200 kidney transplants per year. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver peri-operative care to patients undergoing all these complex procedures. The post holder must hold full MRCP and a certificate of completion of training (CCT) in Rehabilitation Medicine. We welcome application from trainees in Rehabilitation Medicine who are approximately 6 months from CCT. The appointee will join two consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine and a team of neurologists as part of a friendly and reputable service that works across Hillingdon Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to provide seamless transition for patients from tertiary care into secondary care and community services. This post provides an excellent opportunity to provide high quality neurological rehabilitation care for patients with spinal cord injury, in a busy District General Hospital or in a tertiary setting at Imperial. 6 of the DCC PA’s will be based at the Hillingdon site and 4 PA’s will be based primarily at Imperial. The post holder will provide consultant input to the London Spinal Cord Injury Network and the Major Trauma Network in North West London. The post holder will be responsible for improving the care of spinal cord injury patients needing rehabilitation in the North West London sector. There is scope to develop integrated care across secondary and community services in partnership NW London ICB. This will involve linking with community teams and outreach visits to community settings. The formal AAC interview will be held on 9thNovember 2026 The Haematology Department provides comprehensive outpatient, ambulatory and specialist lymphoma services from a facility located on the ground floor of the Catherine Lewis Centre. The outpatient unit includes seven consulting rooms, dedicated areas for phlebotomy, bone marrow biopsies, counselling and high-risk procedures. Patients are welcomed by specialist reception staff, while modern diagnostic technology enables rapid investigation and treatment. Full blood counts are performed within the clinic using an automated analyser linked to the main diagnostic laboratory. A vacuum transport system ensures transfer of samples and results between the outpatient department and laboratory services. Approximately 75 patients are seen each day. The outpatient area is directly connected to the Day Care and Ambulatory Care Unit. Facilities include beds for apheresis procedures, acute patient care, sedated bone marrow biopsies and chemotherapy treatment, together with reclining chairs for blood product transfusions and systemic anti-cancer therapies. The unit treats up to 30 patients daily and operates 12 hours a day, seven days a week. The lymphoma service is delivered by 3.8 whole-time equivalent consultants and 2.5 clinical nurse specialists. The team provides local and regional care including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, CAR-T therapy, and specialist services. Applications are invited for a fixed-term 9 PA (0.9 WTE) Locum Consultant Hepatologist post, jointly hosted by Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Barts Health NHS Trust. This exciting new joint appointment has been developed to strengthen hepatology services across both organisations and support the continued delivery of high-quality inpatient and outpatient care. The post holder will work alongside the established hepatology teams at Homerton University Hospital and The Royal London Hospital, providing care for patients with general hepatology conditions. The role will have a 70:20 split in clinical commitment between Homerton and The Royal London Hospital, with the majority of clinical activity based at Homerton. The post holder will undertake teaching duties for undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff, as well as other professional groups including nursing and pharmacy colleagues. They will also contribute to local research projects and support the ongoing development of hepatology services across both Trusts. This new joint post offers an exciting opportunity to work across two leading organisations, helping to shape and further develop integrated hepatology services for the local population. The successful candidate will be required to: 1. Maintain full GMC registration and is advised to retain membership of a medical defence organisation. 2. Take continuing responsibility for patients in their care, including all associated administrative duties. 3. Provide leadership and organisation of services in line with Trust business plans, working closely with Lead Clinicians, General Managers and Clinical Directors. 4. Take corporate and individual responsibility for the professional management of junior doctors supporting the hepatology service. 5. Participate in the out-of-hours endoscopy on-call rota. 11. Participate in departmental clinical trials and research activities.
