An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Test Analyst to join the ICT Test Team, supporting testing activities for applications and systems being implemented or upgraded, in line with the defined test strategy and approach. Previous software testing experience is essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical experience of testing activities such as test execution, defect management, UAT, system validation, quality assurance, test case creation, or supporting software releases. Experience of working with Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems, particularly Oracle Cerner applications such as PMOffice, PowerChart and FirstNet, is essential. An understanding of how clinical systems are used in practice and the impact system changes can have on patient care would be advantageous. A strong interest in software quality assurance and a "tester mindset" is essential, including curiosity, analytical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to identify, investigate and challenge issues. You should have a working knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies. An ISTQB Foundation Certification, or willingness to work towards it, is desirable. Awareness of HL7 messaging would be an advantage. Although primarily based at Charing Cross Hospital, you may be required to travel between NWL APG sites depending on service needs. • In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality testing across a range of clinical applications and systems, ensuring they are safe, effective, and ready for use within a healthcare environment. • You will work closely with experienced testers, project, configuration, development and transformation teams to understand requirements, contribute to test scripts, and execute testing activities in line with agreed plans and schedules. • A key part of the role will involve accurately recording test results, identifying issues, and logging defects with clear and detailed information. You will also support user acceptance testing (UAT) by working with clinical and operational staff to ensure systems meet real-world needs. • This role is well suited to someone with a good understanding of Cerner EPR systems (or a similar healthcare system), a strong attention to detail, and a natural curiosity for how systems work. You should be organised, proactive, and able to manage your own workload, while also working collaboratively as part of a team. A keen interest in developing testing skills and delivering quality outcomes is essential. In collaboration with the Head of Outpatients and Patient Services and front of house teams, ensure delivery of the strategic and operational plan(s) To provide day to day management, leadership and support to administrative staff members To perform local inductions and probationary reviews for all new starters within the team To carry out performance reviews and annual appraisals with staff members. Challenge, investigate and manage any staff performance concerns in accordance to the Hospital policies. To ensure all new staff are set up on the required systems and that all leavers have their accounts deactivated To assist in the training of staff on various systems and be a super user. Ensure departments and staff are working in compliance of the latest GDPR regulations and hospital guidelines. Ensure patient data capture is accurate. To support the administrative staff with complaints, trouble shooting, challenging/difficult customers and/or situations. Support the leads in investigating any billing/invoices or administrative queries.
