    The Joint Cyber Unit (JCU)is a collaboration between the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England (NHSE). The JCU is embedded within the Digital Policy Unit (DPU), a unit comprising both DHSC staff and NHSE staff intended to design, plan and build a digitally enabled, data driven and safe health and social care system with ministers and the NHS. The DPU is a sub-directorate of the Transformation Directorate, which enables the delivery of the best care and outcomes for the NHS and the people it serves by improving population health and patient pathways, rapidly adopting effective technologies, building on insights from data and edge-cutting research, and by transforming the way that care is delivered. Purpose of the JCU The JCU sets develops and implements strategy, policy and standards for cyber security across the NHS and Adult Social Care in England. It has responsibility for designing, implementing and the ongoing assurance of the cyber security system risk management and compliance framework in place across the wider health and care system, as well as simplifying and transforming information governance. As a Deputy Directorthe post holder will work across the Joint Cyber Unit, which leads on cyber security across the health and care sector (including for NHS organisations, NHS England Regions, Integrated Care Systems, Adult Social Care Providers, and major suppliers of IT products and software to the sector) and increasing compliance with mandated cyber security standards. The role requires a strong understanding of cyber security or significant technical knowledge and will lead on: • Leadership and development of teams across JCU • Governance, Risk and Compliance • Strategy and Policy • Stakeholder management and engagement It is expected that the postholder, will as be required, play a leading role in supporting the management of any NHS or wider health and care system cyber incidents and will oversee the High Severity Alert Process. This can mean being expected to work out of hours and at weekends. NHS England has a wide range of statutory functions, responsibilities and regulatory powers. These are focused on supporting the wider NHS to deliver high quality care, as well as doing those things that are best done once for the whole NHS. Our staff bring expertise across clinical, operational, commissioning, technology, data science, cyber security, software engineering, education, and commercial specialisms — enabling us to design and deliver high-quality NHS services. In March 2025,the Government announcedthat NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.  If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. What You Will Do Build and nurture employer relationships, developing new partnerships and strengthening existing ones to create meaningful opportunities for our students. Contribute to the delivery of our employer engagement plan, taking a destination-led approach to student progression and ensuring employer activity reflects the needs of our learners and the wider economy. Research sectors, industries and emerging opportunities, using student qualification pathways, Labour Market Information (LMI) and local skills priorities to identify and engage with relevant employers. Promote the benefits of working with the college by developing engaging employer case studies that showcase the impact of work placements and other work experience opportunities. Work collaboratively with colleagues and employers to create new opportunities for students and maximise participation in work-based learning.     About the role Adult Education and Learning Engagement Officer Bury Council’s Adult Learning Service is seeking to recruit an Adult Education and Learning Engagement Officer on a fixed term contract, until March 2029. Promoting adult learning is at the heart of Bury’s LET’S Do It! 2030 Strategy, which is an ambitious vision for delivering inclusive economic growth and reducing the levels of deprivation across the borough. Joining the Learner Services team will give you the opportunity to develop, promote and support learning activities with a strong focus on building the financial resilience of residents within communities, collaborating closely with the community and voluntary sector and other statutory organisations. The role will allow you to focus on engaging communities, with a particular emphasis on widening access to budgeting support, income maximisation, financial education, and affordable credit within those communities, who may not be aware of adult education provision, and/or present barriers that prevent them from accessing adult education provision. We are looking for someone with a broad understanding of the full range of adult learning providers and financial support organisations across Bury, along with experience of proactively engaging with communities and individuals described as being hard to engage and working with them to support access into learning and/or work. The ideal candidate will be able to plan and focus engagement activity with a strong focus on budgeting support, financial education, income maximization awareness and affordable credit opportunities, using analytical data and demographics to target hard to engage residents. They will work with partners from relevant services and agencies to ensure service delivery is effective and co-operative, value for money and does not duplicate or compete with other provision in the area.     We have an opportunity for a passionate individual to join us at Essex Wildlife Trust as an Education and Community Engagement Officer at our Belfair’s Nature Discovery Centre. As an Education and Community Engagement Officer, you will deliver formal and informal nature-based learning programmes to a diverse range of audiences, promoting the work of Essex Wildlife Trust. Whilst being based at Belfair’s, this role will involve supporting delivery across our sites in South Essex. You will deliver an education programme for school groups of all ages, including our popular KS4 and KS5 programme. You will also plan and deliver an engaging and inclusive programme of activities for children, families and young people as part of our successful informal learning programme. This may include Nature Tots and Babies, after school clubs, birthday parties and school holiday events. The position is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week and based at Belfair’s Nature Discovery Centre near Leigh on Sea. The starting salary for this role is £27,444 per annum.
