Role purpose To provide senior academic and professional leadership in Biomedical Science and Healthcare Science, with particular responsibility for Blood Sciences. Apply current or recent NHS experience to ensure teaching reflects contemporary Blood Sciences practice, professional standards and clinical laboratory environments. Lead modules and contribute to course leadership, including curriculum development, assessment, quality assurance and enhancement. Support IBMS-accredited provision and contribute to professional practice education, work-based learning and End Point Assessment. Develop productive relationships with NHS employers, professional bodies and healthcare science networks to strengthen teaching, partnerships and future provision. Support students and colleagues through supervision, guidance and mentoring, while maintaining professional currency through scholarship, continuing professional development and responsible use of emerging technologies.
