University of Sheffield Are you an audit, assurance or finance professional who values technical competence and collaborative working to help a complex organisation improve how it works? Whether you are looking to make your first move out of professional practice into an in-house role, or you already have established experience in an internal audit or compliance function, this is an excellent platform to develop your skills and career. We are looking for a Compliance Auditor to join the University of Sheffield’s Financial Assurance team. You will be curious, pragmatic and proportionate: able to identify what matters, explain why it matters, and support colleagues to make meaningful improvements. You will bring experience from audit, assurance, compliance, risk management, financial control or finance operations, ideally gained in a large, complex or regulated organisation. Experience in Higher Education, the NHS, local government, the wider public sector or a similar environment would be valuable. We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University. We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience. If you are motivated to use your assurance or finance skills to make a practical difference in a large, complex institution then we would love to hear from you.
