What you'll be doing: * Set up and maintain accurate people on probation and victim information on approved databases * Support referrals and connections between offender management, victims, interventions, service providers and external agencies to improve outcomes, manage risk and reduce reoffending * Prepare, maintain and collate case records, files and management information to required standards * Receive and distribute information and communications via telephone, paper and email * Provide cover for reception and telephone enquiry service * Act as a single point of contact within the unit for specialist areas as required * Make practical arrangements for the implementation of the Sentence Plan (appointments, directions etc.) * Support enforcement administration where required, keeping appropriate records * Organise availability of equipment, materials and facilities for case-related activities * Report faulty equipment/materials and arrange replacement/repair where agreed * Support meetings by organising agendas and distributing notes/minutes and action points * Carry out safeguarding children duties in line with statutory responsibilities and agency policies * Work in line with Health and Safety policies, undertake equipment tests as required, and contribute to pro-social modelling What you'll bring: * Commitment to equality and inclusion, and an understanding of how it connects to the work you do * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to deal fairly and firmly with a range of people (including those in crisis or exhibiting aggressive behaviour) * Ability to work on own initiative, while supporting a quality service through continuous improvement * Good keyboard and IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office Word and basic skills in Excel * Confidence using databases and maintaining accurate information within required timescales * A proactive, dependable approach-delivering at pace and making effective decisions Additional information: This role may involve some out-of-hours work. What you'll be doing: * Prepare papers, files and court/tribunal documents for hearings, meetings and case progression * Create and update records on an in-house computer system; complete accurate data input * Manage post opening and dispatch, plus general photocopying and filing * Support the booking and organisation of meeting rooms, training and group activity-agendas, handouts and joining instructions included * Carry out clerking duties for civil and family courts, tribunals and hearings, ensuring materials are up to date * Assist court users by supporting listing/rota management and checking files * Handle counter, written and telephone enquiries, delivering a helpful, prompt, polite service * Contact relevant parties to schedule and serve documents, and execute a range of warrants where required * Process casework using standard documentation and information (including orders, claims, fines and fees, legal aid) * Check and verify documents, records, accounts and returns against criteria and procedures; contribute to quality standards * Produce basic statistical analysis reports and support straightforward financial processing where needed * Contribute to team information board (TIB) meetings and support problem-solving and small projects What you'll bring: * Strong administrative ability and excellent customer service mindset * Confidence communicating professionally with the public and internal/external stakeholders * Accurate attention to detail when inputting, checking and verifying information * Ability to work to workload targets for throughput and accuracy * Comfort with discretion and initiative within established systems and processes (SOPS) * A willingness to work flexibly, including occasional ad hoc support at other local offices if required Additional information: You may have regular contact with court/tribunal users, including members of the judiciary and the legal profession.
