Cedar Lodge Care Home is a well established service in Taunton, Somerset, providing specialist dementia, palliative and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. Senior Care Assistant Contract £13.71 per hour Contracted to 36 hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality, person centred care for individuals with complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered safely within a structured and supportive environment. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes, including behaviours or complex needs. Working closely with the wider team, you will support and guide Care Assistants, helping to maintain a calm, stable and consistent environment. You will follow and review care plans, ensure accurate record keeping and contribute to effective communication with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals. This role requires a confident, calm and resilient approach, with the ability to support both residents and staff in a complex care setting. Senior Probation Officer Returner Scheme This is a rolling campaign; applicants cannot reapply within a six-month period. This scheme is open to former, qualified senior probation officers who have left the Civil Service within the last five years. If you are a former qualified senior probation officer who has left the Civil Service less than 5 years ago, and have completed your probationary period and training, we would like you to consider returning to the Probation Service and joining your former colleagues, to keep the public safe and rehabilitate people on probation. Should you meet the eligibility criteria, and your application is accepted by the Probation Service, we can offer you a fast-track return to the service with no requirement to undertake a lengthy application form, interview and repeat any entry level training or assessment process. Training: At the point of return, an individualised training needs analysis will be completed to identify training that has been completed and to schedule any relevant training that is required. Full time salary: £44,100 + London allowance of £4,250 for London, Staines, and Watford base location where applicable.
