Job objectives and responsibilities The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for leading a professional, compliant and customer-focused security service across Airbus Defence & Space locations in Newport, Portsmouth and Stevenage. The role requires regular travel between all three locations to provide visible leadership, operational oversight and consistent service delivery. The post holder will ensure that all site operations are delivered in accordance with Mitie's contractual obligations, company policies and the Mitie Health, Safety & Security Business Standard. The position provides strategic leadership, operational governance and people management to maintain safe, secure and welcoming environments for all occupants and visitors across the portfolio. Working closely with customer stakeholders at each location, the Service Delivery Manager will ensure that security operations meet agreed performance standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, compliance and service excellence throughout the teams. Main duties Operational Management• Oversee the daily delivery of all security services across the three Airbus Defence & Space locations (Newport, Portsmouth and Stevenage), ensuring compliance with contract requirements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).• Monitor service standards and proactively implement measures to improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction across all locations.• Maintain full operational oversight of the control room, CCTV, access control systems and patrol management arrangements across the portfolio. Compliance and Governance • Ensure adherence to the client's Health, Safety & Security Business Standards, relevant legislation and Mitie policies across all three locations.• Conduct regular compliance audits, inspections and reviews, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion of corrective actions.• Align security practices with relevant ISO frameworks, including ISO 27001 (information and physical security) and ISO 45001 (health and safety).• Procedures and Documentation• Develop and maintain comprehensive Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Assignment Instructions (AIs) for all three locations.• Ensure all procedures remain accurate, current and understood by all team members.• Facilitate regular briefings to ensure consistent operational understanding and service delivery across the portfolio. People Leadership and Development • Lead, motivate and support the security teams across the three locations, setting clear expectations around performance, conduct and professionalism.• Ensure all officers hold valid SIA licences and receive mandatory and refresher training.• Deliver structured coaching, performance conversations and ongoing professional development.• Manage absence, welfare and conduct processes in line with Mitie policy.• Health, Safety and Risk Management• Maintain oversight of risk assessments completed by the Operational Support Team, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, updated and compliant with operational and legislative requirements.• Record, monitor and close out actions arising from audits, inspections and accident reports.• Promote a strong health and safety culture, engaging with customer representatives and operational teams across all locations to reduce risk and enhance awareness. Client and Stakeholder Engagement • Act as the primary Service Delivery Manager and senior operational point of contact for all security matters across Newport, Portsmouth and Stevenage.• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer representatives, building occupants and contractors across the portfolio.• Provide timely reports, updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders on performance, incidents and continuous improvement initiatives.• Travel regularly between all three locations to maintain visibility, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight. Your main responsibilities include: Coordinate and support the day-to-day running of VMD’s IT Operations and Service Desk function, including running daily service stand-ups or huddles to review workload, prioritise incidents and requests, identify blockers, agree ownership, and escalate service issues where required. Provide hands-on support for live IT services, including end-user computing, Microsoft 365, device provisioning, user access, service desk tickets and operational troubleshooting, working closely with colleagues, subject matter experts and technical teams. Provide day-to-day operational leadership and senior judgement for service desk and IT operations activity, supporting colleagues with prioritisation, decision-making, escalation routes and resolution of more complex or higher-impact issues. Support effective incident, request, change and problem management through Jira Service Management, helping to ensure tickets are clearly documented, assigned, updated, progressed and resolved in line with agreed processes. Help improve service quality and operational resilience by identifying recurring issues, supporting problem management, maintaining knowledge articles, runbooks and handover notes, and reducing reliance on individual knowledge. Work collaboratively with users, colleagues, suppliers, technical teams and stakeholders, bringing a positive, proactive and “can-do” approach to resolving issues, explaining IT matters clearly, and supporting reliable, user-focused IT service delivery. Contribute to the safe operation and continuous improvement of VMD’s technology environment, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Jira, Confluence, cloud services, legacy systems, supplier-supported services, asset management, IT inventory control, device lifecycle management and future service improvements. We’re looking for a confident and hands-on Guest Service Manager (Nights) to lead our overnight operation and create a safe, seamless and memorable guest experience from dusk till dawn. Working closely with the Hotel Manager as part of the Guest Service management team, you’ll take ownership of the hotel during out-of-hours operation. Through visible leadership, you’ll guide and support your night team, ensuring every guest interaction reflects our brand standards and delivers genuine hospitality. About the Role You’ll lead the nights team, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service in a calm, safe and well-managed environment. Key responsibilities include: Managing overnight operations including cash handling, reporting and handovers, while ensuring outstanding service is delivered to guests throughout the night. Providing full guest services where practical, including bar service, room service and guest support. Carrying out all Night Audit procedures accurately and in line with expectations. Being a visible and reassuring presence for guests, creating confidence and trust during overnight stays. Engaging with late arrivals and overnight guests, building relationships and adapting your approach to meet individual needs. Taking ownership of guest concerns and resolving issues effectively, ensuring follow-up where required. Conducting regular security and safety checks, maintaining a secure environment for guests, colleagues and the hotel. Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, hygiene and fire regulations at all times. Leading, coaching and developing the night team to deliver consistent service excellence and reflect our values and culture. About You You’re a natural leader who thrives on responsibility. We’re looking for someone who brings: Experience in a senior guest service or operational role (e.g. Front Office Manager/Supervisor, Duty Manager or similar). Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues confidently. Proactive and resourceful, able to make sound decisions independently. Good commercial awareness, with an understanding of hotel KPIs and cost control. Confidence using systems and technology to support operations and reporting.
