The role We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Social Workers to join Warrington Borough Council’s Specialist Teams Service with vacancies in the Learning Disability Team. As a social worker you will play a fundamental role in supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in Warrington. You will support clients using a range of legislative frameworks, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Mental Health Act 1983 to co-produce person-centered assessments and creative support plans to achieve holistic outcomes for our clients. We support people with a diverse range of complex needs including physical disabilities, mental health issues, learning disability, acquired brain injury, and autistic spectrum conditions. You will be supported by a Team Manager and Senior Practitioner and work alongside other social workers, community care workers, apprentice social workers and admin support. We provide our staff with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through training and professional development with Court of Protection, S42 Adult Safeguarding Enquiries, Continuing Health Care, and Mental Capacity Assessments & Best Interest Decisions. In relation to these posts, we will consider applications from Social Workers at a Grade 07 (£34,434 - £38,220) / Grade 8 (£39,152 - £42,839) depending on experience. Ensure that all patient activity is recorded on relevant electronic systems. • To ensure Embassy-sponsored patients are covered with a Letter of Guarantee for any appointment, blood test, procedure and diagnostic test undertaken and liaise directly with the international team for any urgent/emergency bookings requested by consultants, nursing staff or the patient in a timely manner to ensure authorisation is requested for payment. • To ensure all patient activity is accurately recorded in real time, including capturing all outpatient procedures undertaken and patient arrival and departure times. • Comply with the Did Not Attend Policy and to ensure that clinic screens are cleared daily to comply with Quality Assurance. • To calculate charges for non-sponsored activity by reference to a table of charges and obtain payment (by credit card) from patients as required, ensuring these are taken in line with Trust policy and documented appropriately. • To assist nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team with administrative duties as requested. • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and other meetings within the Trust as requested by your Team Leader. • To proactively contribute to service developments and actively implement changes that would enhance working procedures. • To order stationery for the unit.
