About the Employer I am a young adult with Autism and learning disabilities. I enjoy going to the cinema and if I like the film, I will see it a few times. I enjoy going to cafes for a drink and a piece of cake and out for meals. I also enjoy listening to music, watching TV and going for walks around the shops or out local village. I can be very anxious around new people and may not talk for a while. So, until I get to know someone and feel safe and comfortable with you the work will be repetitive so it will involve us going to the same places until I have built a good trusting relationship with you. I like lively, fun, outgoing personalities but also need someone that can take control of situations. We have a Labrador dog at home, and he will be around when we are at home. I am very anxious around other dogs and don’t like them barking. During college times the work will be mainly weekend work and the times will be flexible. When I am not at college then it will be a Monday, Wednesday and Friday 08.15 till 14.00 including weekend again will be flexible times. Our son loves spending time playing with our family dog, watching Peppa Pig and going for long walks in the countryside. Our daughter loves playing with her sensory toys and books plus spending lots of time playing on the swing and running and jumping around the garden. The role will be to provide a high level of assistance and stimulation to support our children. Duties will include taking the children (separately) on walks. To entertain and engage, through play, with both indoor and outdoor activities. Assisting parents during feeding times. Personal care is required for both children.
