The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team of booking officers who are responsible for providing a comprehensive and patient-orientated service dealing with IR imaging orders across a range of modalities for cancer and none cancer related reasons; supporting timely management aligned to Trust and National guidelines. The booking and scheduling team are cross site based and the team currently operate 7 days between the hours of 8am and 8pm on a rota basis. This is a multi-skilled role, and the post holder will be expected to rotate on a regular basis within different areas/modalities but will be based within the IR Imaging booking team at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. The team are also responsible for running checks aligned to HIVE to ensure internal targets are met and orders are managed within HIVE as expected. Harrow Adult Mental Health is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Principal Psychologist to join our established therapies team. This post is offered within our innovative Adult Community Mental Health Hub (CMHH, Bentley House) which provides intervention to adults presenting with a range of secondary care mental health difficulties; including psychosis, Complex Emotional Needs and PTSD. The successful candidate will play a leading role in supporting the psychology team to provide highly specialist psychological assessment, collaborative formulation with service users, and consultation to the wider team – to support the development of creative, personalised and multi-disciplinary care plans that help individuals under the care of the CMHH to move forward. They will also support the provision of specialist psychological intervention drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities. The post-holder will take a leading role in the ongoing development of Harrow’s Trauma-Informed Approaches (TIA) model for adult mental health services. Over the last year, our CMHH has rolled out TIA and trained the full MDT in Power Threat Meaning Framework formulation and Psychological Stabilisation interventions. This project builds on Harrow’s innovative TIA work in acute services over the last six years; now published (Nikopaschos et al. 2023; 2025) and influencing National Policy (see NHSE Guidelines for Acute Inpatient Mental Health Care for Adults and Older Adults, 2023). Bentley House CMHH works closely with the rest of the Harrow mental health system (including the Home Treatment and Inpatient teams) to provide holistic intervention to adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. The post holder will join an expanding therapies team, committed to providing highly specialist and trauma-informed psychological care. They will work closely with the full range of MDT professionals, including psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy and peer support. The CRF Laboratory performs pre-analytical procedures on an array of biological samples for approximately 100 clinical trial visits per week, working on translational biomarker studies, the newest therapeutic agent trials, and existing later-phase clinical trials. These samples are subsequently stored, then shipped to central laboratories around the world. As part of the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines that underpin clinical trials worldwide, it is also vital that every step of this process is recorded and tracked. As a result of these requirements, the CRF Laboratory is central to clinical nursing staff on the CRF and in research, non-clinical research support staff, and external pharmaceutical companies. The CRF Laboratory is a pre-analytical lab only and does not undertake blood tests or handle blood results. There are no Biomedical Scientists, and no scope for IBMS Portfolio work. The post is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. The job is fast-paced and varied, with a balance of hands-on technical work and administrative work, and represents a great opportunity to build-on and use existing practical laboratory experience, and gain wider experience of how clinical trials are set-up and operate.
