This is a varied and meaningful role supporting adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities to build confidence, independence and practical life skills. You will support people to take part in purposeful, hands-on activities such as gardening, woodworking, creative projects and everyday learning. At Creative Savvy, this could mean helping to grow produce in our allotment-style garden or creating handmade wooden products from recycled pallets, while encouraging each person to develop skills and take pride in what they achieve. This role could be a great fit if you are patient, encouraging and enjoy helping people try new things. Previous social care experience is not essential: we will provide the training and development you need to feel confident in the role. What You’ll Do: • Support and inspire individuals with learning disabilities in creative activities, gardening, woodworking, and practical life skills • Help build confidence, independence, and workplace skills • Be a positive role model and create a supportive, encouraging environment • Work three days per week during daytime hours: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break • Promote teamwork, life skills, and personal development • Transport clients safely to and from centres, using your own vehicle with appropriate business insurance • You will be paid for your working time from the point you collect the first client. Mileage is reimbursed from that point; travel from your home to the first client, and from the final client back home, is not paid.
