    Ward 3 is an Orthopaedic Oncology ward. Age range of patients 16-90, taking referrals from all over the country. We have a compassionate dedicated team of healthcare professionals working closely together to provide expert care to our patients. We complete major orthopaedic surgeries, endoprosthetic reconstructions and sometimes amputations to enable patients to recover from their orthopaedic tumours. We are supported by McMillan nurses, and work closely with our Occupational and Physical Therapists to support our patients through their recovery from surgery and back home. To be responsible for a group of patients, working alongside our health care assistants to meet all your patients needs. To administer medications in accordance with NMC guidelines, care for complex wound dressings, mobilise patients, provide psychological support and become an expert orthopaedic oncology nurse. To escalate concerns regarding patients appropriately, observe and report safeguarding concerns, support colleagues, provide education and teaching to patients and staff. Accountable to Ward Manager, Matron and Head Of Nursing. To remain up to date with all elements of mandatory and desired training. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly. General Building Engineer plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner. What you will do: Ensuring availability of critical parts for statutory tasks and managing remedial tasks in the CAFM system. Performing general and semi-skilled maintenance activities, including security systems like CCTV and alarms. Conducting monthly checks and tests of fire extinguisher equipment, fire hydrants, and hoses. Completing quarterly RCD testing and inspect Misting Units. Maintaining fire doors and performing flushing and tap temperature tests as per water risk assessments. Undertaking monthly and annual emergency lighting checks. Checking and testing smoke vents as required. Carrying out any other duties as required. What makes this role unique is you will work alongside the engineers in all maintenance across the site as well as working independently. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
