Pinnacle Group are looking for a diligent Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. You will be joining our Grounds Maintenance teams who are based from our office un Tulse Hill and travelling to sites across South London. Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations – including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care. Your responsibilities will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and general landscape upkeep of housing sites (new builds, extra care sites and sheltered accommodation). The successful SEN Teaching Assistants will have: • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND • Experience with autism/ASC, learning difficulties, communication needs and/or challenging behaviour • A patient, caring and resilient approach • Confidence providing 1:1 and small-group support • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills • The ability to follow individual support plans and EHCP targets • Confidence supporting pupils with their learning and development • Strong communication and teamwork skills • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils • A good understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual needs Key Responsibilities: • Provide classroom and individual SEN support • Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development • Provide 1:1 support where required • Help pupils access and engage with classroom activities • Support communication and interaction • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation • Use appropriate strategies to manage challenging situations • Support pupils in developing confidence and independence • Work towards individual learning targets and EHCP outcomes • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff • Maintain a safe, calm and supportive learning environment • Follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise pupil wellbeing In return for the above, you can expect to receive: • A dedicated team of consultants to guide and support you throughout your assignments • Access to CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression channel • Competitive rates of pay • Support throughout the registration and placement process • TeacherActive Referral Scheme – Receive up to £100 when you refer a friend.
