Cygnet Oaks is a 35 bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men, providing a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist individuals with their return to independent living. Depending on the individual’s level of need, at Cygnet Oaks we provide different levels of support in 2 wards, the Lodge and the House; Lodge – this is a 20 bed admission ward where most service users will start their recovery journey at Cygnet Oaks. Individuals who are admitted to this ward are generally stepping down from an acute or a low secure service House – a 15 bed service for individuals to continue along their care pathway. The House Ward also contains a 4 bed step-through service. This is situated in its own corridor and has a separate living space to prepare and develop individuals towards a community placement whilst still having input from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Your Day-to-Day... • Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals • Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties • Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately • Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering • Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic • Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures • Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. Key responsibilities will include Damp & spot mopping, Damp dust /polishing of surfaces, fixtures and fittings Cleaning toilet facilities, and hand basins and replenishing toilet paper, hand soap & towels To clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces Removal of waste from internal litter bins within the offices and meeting rooms To keep the tea/coffee points clean and tidy at all times Vacuuming carpeted areas including barrier matting Key requirements Obligation to adhere to safe working practices and ensure due consideration is given to the site staff Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses Our offer The more diverse our workforce, the better we can adapt to and reflect the needs of our customers.
