    Our venue Receptionist's play a very important part in the team and the day to day running of the business, being the first and last point of contact for all our visitors and staff. Out close knit and supportive Dietetic Department includes over 40 Clinicians and associated staff working across the specialities of Community Nutrition support, Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Inpatients, Intensive Care, Oncology, Paediatrics, Prescribing Support and Rehabilitation. Our department also includes Primary Care Network (PCN) Dietitians, plus our Apprentice Dietitians and Trainee Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) Dietitians. • To be responsible for dietetic management of a range of patients (using specialist knowledge and skills), including: general medical inpatients, surgical inpatients, rehab inpatients, general outpatients, community based nutrition support patients living in their own homes and residential homes. • To undertake regular outpatient phone clinics and a face to face general outpatient clinic. • To undertake patient group education sessions in specialist areas including Cardiac rehab and Coeliac disease. • To provide relevant training to Nursing staff, Catering staff, patients and their carers and third sector organisations. • To develop and audit resources to support and identify educational development within East Sussex Healthcare, acting as a resource for specialist information. • To support training and supervision of student dietitians during their clinical placements. • To work as an integral member of the dietetic team supporting other team members as required. • To undertake regular audit of services provided. Duties & Responsibilities To work with teaching staff in all engineering areas, supporting students during practical lessons and project work providing practical assistance, in a safe and effective manner Preparing required apparatus for practical lessons and demonstrations supplying equipment, dismantling and returning to store, in order to keep all equipment in perfect working order The safe treatment and disposal of used materials including hazardous substances and responding to actual and potential hazards Give technical guidance to students in practical lessons when required, to always adhere to appropriate manufacturer usage and Health and safety requirements Clean and maintain areas and apparatus throughout the year carrying out routine maintenance and repair as and when necessary, to meet health and safety and college requirements Evaluate new workshop lessons to find out potential problems and suggest improvements when necessary, to provide the best support to curriculum and staff Maintain a computer database for department, requesting new stock when necessary and ensuring products are stored and labelled correctly and safely, for up to date reporting and information provision to management Ensure that Health and Safety checks and measures are adhered to at all times checking the safety of practical area during the day, ensuring equipment is safe for use, to meet college policy and legislative requirements To comply with the Health & Safety Policy of the College and other instructions given as necessary, rectifying or where appropriate, reporting safety hazards or unsafe working arrangements, to adhere to policy and legislative requirements To work flexibly as part of the faculty team in order to cover all aspects of team provision and assist curriculum delivery Has an understanding that safeguarding is a shared cross college responsibility.
