This part-time role provides an exciting opportunity to provide specialist money advice and financial wellbeing support to students, helping them overcome financial challenges and succeed in their studies while playing an important role in the delivery of Royal Holloway’s wellbeing and experience offering. The Directorate of Student Life includes a broad range of student facing teams who are core to the student journey: Active Lifestyle & Sport, Careers, Chaplaincy, Counselling & Mental Health, Disability & Neurodiversity, Hall Life, International & Money Advice, Student Casework, Student Engagement & Insights, and Wellbeing Support. We are also seeking a candidate with excellent communication and casework skills, experience of providing financial advice and support, and a commitment to delivering an inclusive and student-centred service. With roles in Student Life there is a need for mainly campus-based working to enable in-person student appointments, based on student preference and need, but there will be some opportunity for working remotely each week. Repairs and Maintenance - Monitor KPI and contractual deadlines, escalating issues to the Shift Leader where required. - Review and amend defect classifications as appropriate. - Support mitigation of potential non‑conformances for KPIs 5, 6 and 7. - Prioritise, schedule and track repairs with internal and external operatives. - Prepare and chair the daily weekend stand‑up call to brief field teams and FOMs. Does this sound like you? The post holder will contribute to the Acute Frailty Team across several clinical areas including the emergency department, clinical decision unit and acute medical unit, as well as inpatient wards and the virtual frailty ward. The role also includes supporting community-based assessments and working closely with discharge teams and community services to facilitate safe transitions from hospital to home. Key duties include providing consultant leadership in frailty assessment, participating in multidisciplinary ward rounds and board rounds, delivering outpatient clinics aligned with the post holder’s special interests, and supporting the development of surgical liaison services for frail surgical patients. The consultant will also assess patients referred by other specialties and contribute to service improvement initiatives across the frailty pathway. The successful candidate will take part in the General Internal Medicine on-call rota alongside consultant colleagues and will contribute to teaching, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities within the department. There will be opportunities to develop specialist interests and to support research and education within the Trust and in partnership with regional academic institutions.
