You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, meeting programme, cost, and quality expectations. Working alongside Project Managers, you’ll be involved in delivering high-profile retail, commercial and refurbishment projects, giving you exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle. This role is designed for someone looking to progress into a Project Management position. Key Responsibilities • Assist Project Managers with the successful delivery of allocated refurbishment and construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. • Support the management of projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, company policies and procedures and all statutory requirements. • Assist in developing and monitoring project programmes, identifying potential risks and escalating issues where appropriate. • Attend and contribute to project, site and client meetings, preparing reports, progress updates and meeting minutes as required. • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams. • Interpret contract documentation, specifications, design information and construction drawings, to support the successful delivery of projects. • Support the co-ordination and monitoring of subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure programme, quality and safety standards are achieved. • Monitor project progress and support the resolution of day-to-day site and project issues. • Assist with project cost control, including variations, valuations, procurement and commercial reporting. • Support the procurement of materials and plant, ensuring resources are available and in line with project programmes. • Assist with quality inspections and ensure defects are identified and resolved promptly. • Support tendering and pre-construction activities alongside the estimating and commercial teams where required. • Promote a collaborative working environment that reflects the Company’s values of Building, Sharing and Caring. • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role and support continued professional development towards becoming a Project Manager.
