We are looking for an experienced, practical and flexible Estates Mobile Technician (Multi-Skilled) to join our Estates team based at Erleigh House, Reading. You will provide day-to-day engineering and building maintenance across Berkshire Healthcare sites, helping to keep our clinical and support environments safe, reliable and operational. The role suits a multi-skilled technician who can diagnose faults, work independently, support colleagues and contractors, and deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across a broad range of building and engineering services. You will travel independently between Trust sites across Berkshire using a Trust provided vehicle and participate in the on-call rota, including working outside normal hours when required. • Carry out planned and reactive engineering and building maintenance across Trust-owned, managed and occupied sites. • Diagnose and resolve complex faults across plant, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems and building fabric. • Complete PPM activities and support statutory compliance, including Legionella controls, fire systems, lifts, electrical systems and boilers. • Record labour, materials and job activity accurately on the MICAD Helpdesk system using a Trust-issued handheld device. • Work from drawings, instructions and specifications, undertake new installations and ensure disturbed areas are properly made good. • Liaise with service users, departmental managers, the Estates Helpdesk and contractors to minimise disruption to patient services. • Support and supervise contractors, contribute to risk assessments and health and safety arrangements, and deputise for the Estates Maintenance Supervisor when required. • Travel across Berkshire, transport tools and equipment, and participate in the on-call rota and out-of-hours working as required. This is typically for one week per month (although is flexible, to be agreed between yourself & the primary carer). A full care plan is in place & can be discussed in more detail upon application. However, I typically wake at 7am & sleep from 9pm & require assistance with everything from eating, personal hygiene, dressing, medication, etc. between those hours. I may on occasion, if unwell, need toileting assistance in the night. A daily 2 hour break is covered by a "break carer" most days. Some days I enjoy chatting and discussing what is happening in the world, while other days I prefer to rest quietly. I am therefore looking for someone who is personable and enjoys conversation but is equally happy providing calm companionship. At Platform Property Care, we're looking for three Lead Engineers - Plumbing to join our team in Worcestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced multi skilled Plumber to combine hands-on trade expertise supporting colleagues, driving quality standards and helping improve our service delivery. Acting as the subject matter expert for plumbing, you'll spend around 70-80% of your time delivering repairs and maintenance work, while dedicating the remainder to coaching colleagues, assessing competence, supporting apprentices, and promoting best practice across our Property Care teams. What could you be doing? You'll be ensuring our customers' homes are maintained and repaired to a high standard while also helping to drive consistency, quality and best practice across our Property Care teams. As a Lead Engineer - Plumbing, you will: -Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance work within customers' homes and communal areas. -Manage jobs from inspection through to completion, ensuring excellent customer service throughout. -Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and skills development -Assess and sign off colleagues against our multi-skill framework and support apprentices through their End Point Assessments (EPA). -Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care. -Work alongside Learning & Development teams to support trade training and upskilling initiatives. -Conduct trade audits, reviews and quality assessments to ensure compliance and high standards. -Act as a technical expert and escalation point for trade-related queries. -Monitor industry developments, legislation and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement and enhance service delivery. Some things we need from you: -NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification. -Additional Trade qualifications. -Unvented Hot Water qualification is essential -Significant experience working as a Plumber within the building trade. -Experience working within occupied domestic properties. -Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements. -Experience of recording accurate job and repair information using mobile devices. -Good IT and digital skills -The ability to coach, support and develop colleagues. -A commitment to delivering excellent customer service -Experience working within social housing, a local authority or housing association. -Previous coaching, mentoring or assessor experience. -A full valid driving licence is essential as this is a mobile role. -As you will be working within customers' homes this role requires a DBS check. -This role is for a team covering Worcestershire. Ideally you will only have a maximum of an hour's commute to this area.
