As an Assistant Estimator, you will support the team with: Assisting in the preparation of quotations, bids, and tenders Helping prepare supplier and subcontractor enquiries and reviewing returned quotations Supporting take‑offs and quantity measurement for pricing purposes Gathering materials, labour and plant information needed for tender submissions Contributing to the preparation of tender breakdowns and value engineering options Liaising with colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to gather key project information Attending internal or client meetings as required Supporting the assessment of operational and commercial risks in bids Learning to measure projects using SMM7 or NRM (training provided if required) About You We’re looking for someone who possesses hands on experience in construction estimating, cost planning or a similar technical role at an assistant or junior leve. Bring a basic understanding of pricing, measurements, or construction project processes, with a willingness to learn more. Have strong attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills and is confident using Microsoft Office and open to learning estimating software. And because we will support you to develop your career as a confident estimator, is motivated, organised, and keen to develop a long-term career within estimating.
