You may spend some time each week supporting the ADHD post diagnostic nursing team in prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication. The postholder will attend one of the weekly Clinical MDTs, chaired by the Consultant Psychiatrists. • The post holder will be expected to provide appropriate care to patients within the Rotherham area mainly through working closely with the multidisciplinary team through the assessment and treatment of appropriate patients. • Provide consultation on individual cases where psychiatric opinion is needed to members of the Rotherham multidisciplinary CAMHS team. • Attend a weekly CAMHS MDT Clinical Meeting, in which the above patients are discussed. • Attend multiagency meetings and Team around the Child etc as required. • Provide medical support to the Nurse-led ADHD team. This will include prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication, alongside the ADHD nurses. • Patient contact will take place mainly in outpatient clinics but may also occur in other community settings including A&E or paediatric wards at Rotherham hospital. Appointments may also occur remotely via MS Teams or sometimes by telephone. • Provide on-going monitoring and pharmacological treatments in ADHD, depression, OCD, etc. • All practice will be supervised by a senior doctor or a specialist prescriber.
