Laboratory Support Workers (Band 2/ 3) We require laboratory support staff to work with qualified scientists to perform basic sample preparation and data entry. Band 2/3 dependant on any previous relevant experience. A flexible approach to working hours is required as the Department provides a 24/7/365 service. The Oxford University Hospital has a more diverse range of testing being carried out than many other Hospitals with a variety of specialist workload being referred in, and training in appropriate specialist sections may be given, over time, as required, but this will not be the priority in this role. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled band 7 ACP registered Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our large and supportive Child Psychotherapy team at UCLH. Due to the very short-term nature of this post we are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working in an acute hospital setting, or a setting very closely related to this work. This is varied and meaningful therapeutic work with patients from infancy to young adulthood (0-24) who are under medical care here as both outpatients and inpatients. Working Week 38 hours per week - working across 4/5 days / 20% off your working week will be off the job learning. Qualifications Required GCSE level education and experience working with children is preferred for a level 3 role. Skills Required Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea You must have the ability to read a ten-page fairy-tale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page Having a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to be a large part of your working day Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families; there is simply no other job quite like this one Training to be Provided Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes: • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required) This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
