ADVERT: Secondary Supply Teachers, Lewis & Harris Schools The Education and Children’s Services Department operates a register of supply teachers willing to undertake short-term cover for teacher absences. The Sessional Senior Youth Worker will guide and support young people aged 9-16 participating in our four-hour nature-based Holiday Food and Fun activity sessions at Heathfield Youth Hub, providing a safe environment for young people to learn, grow and develop during the school holidays. Also to provide ad hoc cover for our Green Gardening Group on Fridays which engages NEET young people in horticultural and environmental activities. The role will work in partnership with existing services already embedded in local communities to provide young people with opportunities through the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme. The role will require implementing and quality assuring best practice procedures relating to session delivery, safeguarding and health and safety. For us safeguarding is a top priority.
