What will you be doing? Managing a crossing site located on A465 at Aylestone Hill, Hereford at fixed duty times, during term time. Two hours per day 0800 – 0900 and 1500-1600. Term time only This is a fixed term vacancy from September 2026 to July 2028. Full on-site training and uniform will be provided About You As a school crossing patrol you will: Have a high degree of safety observation and situational awareness Be reliable and punctual Have clear and confident communication skills with pedestrians, drivers and road users Have good mobility, good eyesight and hearing to enable safe movement in and out of the road Eyesight and hearing correction is acceptable Be comfortable working and standing outdoors in all weathers for prolonged periods Be able to confidently manage pedestrians and traffic in a busy, challenging environment The role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate which will form part of the recruitment process for the successful candidate We Offer Salary range starting at £13.28 rising to £13.49 per hour.
