Summary

Cheltenham has Festival week, summer holidays and half-term, and each one sends owners away from their dogs. A sitter who stays at the owner's house, or calls in once or twice a day, is the answer to that problem. WoofWalk is a UK app where owners find, book and pay local pet carers, and we want three self-employed sitters here. It is a different job from dog walking.

Pittville, Charlton Kings, Leckhampton, Prestbury and Battledown all have homes where a dog needs minding. Your visit covers food, water, a garden break, company, and a message. Where an owner requests it, Pittville Park and Sandford Park are pleasant places for a short walk.

You would be working for yourself. WoofWalk pays no wage, offers no guaranteed bookings, and leaves your prices, days and area up to you. Owners pay in the app and your bank receives the money.

Should dogs stay overnight at your own house, that counts as home boarding. Before offering it you need a licence from the council, and in the app it is a separate service.

The fee structure is short. Joining is free and the first 14 days have no commission. From day 15 it is 15% of each booking until five of your own clients have joined, then 10% and no further change. Bring a client to the app yourself and the rate for them is 10% from booking one.

It will be up to you to declare income for tax, pay National Insurance and arrange insurance. You must be over 18, and meet owner and pet before booking.
