I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Heat Pump Engineer on behalf of a growing renewable energy business based in Nuneaton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team working on a variety of residential and commercial heat pump projects across the Midlands and occasionally further afield. The role offers a mix of servicing, maintenance, commissioning and fault-finding work, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality renewable heating solutions and excellent customer service.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and maintaining residential and commercial heat pump systems
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
- Commissioning heat pump installations
- Remote monitoring and optimisation of installed systems
- Supporting quotations for remedial works and upgrades
- Liaising with subcontractors on complex projects
- Providing technical support and advice to customers
- Installing and servicing ground source heat pump systems
- Completing service, commissioning and compliance documentation
- Working in line with all relevant health and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience installing, servicing and commissioning heat pump systems
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing, Heating or a related discipline
- G3 Hot Water qualification
- F-Gas certification
- Strong knowledge of renewable heating technologies and hydronic systems
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good IT and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Ground source heat pump systems
- Commercial-scale heat pump installations
- Heat pump controls and associated electrical systems
- Remote monitoring platforms and diagnostic tools
- MCS-accredited installations
