Summary
Workshop Labourer - Engineering Manufacturing
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £14.00 - £14.25 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
We are recruiting for a
Workshop Labourer to join a busy and well-established engineering manufacturer based in Poole.
This is a varied, physically active position supporting the day-to-day operation of a large manufacturing site.
The Role
•
Moving materials and components between workshop areas.
•
Operating forklift trucks and pallet trucks.
•
Loading and unloading deliveries.
•
Cleaning workshop floors using industrial cleaning equipment.
•
Cleaning machinery and dealing with swarf and oil spills.
•
Emptying industrial waste bins and coolant/oil drums.
•
Carrying out general workshop cleaning and maintenance.
•
Assisting with basic DIY and site maintenance tasks.
•
Occasional local driving and other general workshop duties.
Essential Skills & Experience
•
Previous experience working in an engineering workshop, factory or manufacturing environment.
•
Valid forklift licence required.
•
Comfortable undertaking manual handling and physically demanding work.
•
Experience using pallet trucks and moving heavy materials.
•
Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
•
Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.
•
Willingness to undertake a variety of workshop and general maintenance duties.
What's on Offer
•
£14.00 - £14.25 per hour.
•
Overtime paid at time and a half.
•
39-hour basic working week, Monday to Friday.
•
Typical start times between 7.00am and 8.00am, with finish times between 4.00pm and 5.00pm.
•
Flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of a condensed working week, subject to management approval.
