Are you a nurse-qualified leader looking for an opportunity to take full ownership of a well-established nursing and dementia care home?
We're seeking an experienced
Registered Home Manager to lead a successful service in Maesteg. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong operational and clinical leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care while developing high-performing teams and driving service excellence.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, quality, and resident wellbeing are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the home.
- Ensure residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred nursing and dementia care.
- Provide strong clinical and operational leadership.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the staff team.
- Oversee audits, medication management, care planning, and clinical governance.
- Manage recruitment, performance, absence management, and employee relations.
- Monitor staffing levels, rota management, and workforce planning.
- Drive occupancy, quality outcomes, and service performance.
- Manage budgets and ensure effective financial performance.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and commissioners.
- Promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
About You
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Home Manager, Deputy Manager, or Clinical Manager within a nursing home environment.
- Strong experience within nursing and dementia care.
- Excellent understanding of clinical governance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing teams, performance, and HR-related processes.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and occupancy.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards).
- Full UK driving licence.
