Summary

Are you a Structural Engineer looking for the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile infrastructure projects while taking ownership of your own designs and career progression?

An established engineering consultancy is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering challenging projects across multiple sectors, working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

You'll be involved in the full project life cycle, from early-stage feasibility studies through to detailed design, site inspections, and construction support. The role offers a mix of technical delivery, client engagement, and project leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering structural design solutions for major infrastructure and engineering projects

Undertaking feasibility and concept studies for multidisciplinary schemes

Producing structural analysis and design calculations using industry-leading software and hand calculations

Preparing technical reports, specifications, scopes of work, and design documentation

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery

Providing site support and technical guidance throughout construction phases

Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the team

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with engineers who can combine strong technical capability with a proactive and client-focused approach.

You'll ideally have:

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng)

Experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures

Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and industry best practice

Experience preparing technical proposals, bids, and client-facing documentation

Familiarity with structural design software such as Tekla, TEDDS, IDEA StatiCa, or similar packages

Knowledge of BIM methodologies and digital engineering workflows

Exposure to seismic, dynamic, or extreme loading assessments would be advantageous

Ambition to progress towards, or further develop, professional qualifications such as MIStructE or MICE
